A. You may contact the State Board of Outfitters at 800-264-0981, or look for the list on the website: outfitters.state.wy.us. Hunters should request to see the outfitter license to ensure they are authorized to operate in the area you are hunting.

Q. What are the requirements to become a licensed guide?

A. Guides must be employed by, or under contract with, a licensed outfitter and the license must be signed on the back by that outfitter.

Q. If I am with an outfitter what requirements must I meet?

A. The outfitter must be listed on the hunting license in conformance with the Hunter Responsibility Law. That law (which is available on the State Board's website: outfitters.state.wy.us makes it illegal to knowingly book with an illegal outfitter.
